REMINDER: Seat-naming opportunity for Center for the Performing Arts underway
GRAMBLING, La. -- Now is the time to honor a trusted mentor, relative or friend by giving them “A Seat Of Honor” in the new Grambling State University Center for the Performing Arts.
A campaign now underway offers people or organizations the opportunity to name a seat in honor of a worthy person. Proceeds will go toward furnishings, equipment and other enhancements at the center.
At a cost of $1,000, patrons can purchase an elegant, golden plaque that can be engraved with three lines of 20 letters each. Naming a seat is an excellent way to celebrate the memory of a loved one, honor a fraternity, sorority or other club organization, or remember a wedding anniversary in perpetuity.
More details are as follows:
- Patrons must submit an initial deposit of $250 by April 10. The remainder is payable over one year.
- GSU faculty and staff may use payroll deduction to complete their pledge.
- Payroll deduction cards for remainder must be turned in by April 10.
- Plaques will be placed after the gift pledge has been fulfilled.
A deposit of $250 received on or before April 10 qualifies patrons to receive one (1) complimentary ticket to the President’s Annual Scholarship Dinner-Theatre Gala at 5:30 p.m., April 24 or April 25, 2009, in the Assembly Center. This year’s production will feature GSU students performing musical, Dreamgirls.
