Ribbon Cutting, official dedication of new facility
Grambling,
LA – A ribbon cutting and official dedication ceremony, will
be held Saturday, May 19 at 1p.m. for the new assembly center at Grambling
State University.
The facility was used last month to accommodate the 6,000 plus crowd for former Grambling State University legendary head football coach, Eddie Robinson's funeral service.
The 160,450 foot facility will house the kinesiology sport and leisure studies department, faculty offices, the athletic ticket office, a weight room, dance studio, concessions areas and the team store. Also, the state-of-the-art venue will be home to the male and female basketball programs at the university-including complete training areas. The seating capacity for the general arena is 7,500.
