Grambling, LA –Grambling State University’s Spring Class of 2007 held its graduation ceremony in the newly constructed Assembly Center. The graduating class of 400 undergraduate and graduate students listened to remarks made by SGA President Alexier Dawn Barbour, Senior Class President Arthur G.H. Devor, III and commencement speaker Dr. Willie L. Hill Jr. During the congratulatory remarks from Senior Class President Arthur G.H. Devor, Grambling experienced a brief power outage in the center. Construction workers accidentally cut a power line. The generators kicked in so that the ceremony could continue and shortly thereafter the power was back on. Mr. Devor closed by saying “Grambling always come up with surprises.” The audience laughed hysterically and the program continued without interruptions.
