Senator Landrieu visits GSU
GRAMBLING-----President
Horace A. Judson welcomed U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-La.) to Grambling
State University today during her visit to Lincoln Parish, including the
City of Grambling.
Landrieu said she fully supports Grambling State University-recognizing
the university has a major impact on the state and the nation. " I
am going to continue to support Grambling to be a premier University in
this country and support legislation to enhance technology and legislation
to help build world-class buildings for learning and research," Landrieu
said. She further noted that the university will play a major part in the
enhancement of the Cyber Command at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier
City.
"Senator Landrieu is one of the most active senators who comes to the
higher education meetings (in Washington) and cares about our colleges-including
HBCU's," remarked President Judson. "She has done a number of
things for the university. Every year something she's worked on gets passed
that helps the university," he said.
President Judson and Senator Landrieu toured the campus-providing her with
an opportunity to view the varied new construction projects and future projects.
