GSU mourns passing of student-athlete
GRAMBLING----Early
this morning, a Grambling State University student-athlete passed at the
Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Henry White,
a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was a junior criminal justice major and
a member of the university's basketball team.
"The university community is deeply saddened by the loss of one of
its promising student-athletes and our deepest sympathy is extended to his
family," said President Horace A. Judson.
White had been hospitalized following participation in conditioning exercises
on August 14. The university has since launched a full investigation into
the circumstances that may have contributed to his death.
