GSU givers take their place on Donor Tree of Knowledge
GRAMBLING
– Donors who have given $10,000 or more to Grambling State University
now have a place where their generosity will be recognized for posterity’s
sake.
On Dec. 5, Grambling State University unveiled its Donor Tree of Knowledge to honor individuals, corporations and foundations that have reached the $10,000 threshold and continue to give to the university. The golden tree, located in the foyer of the GSU Assembly Center, has more than 200 leaves.
It was unveiled at the President’s Holiday Reception by President and Mrs. Horace A. Judson at the annual GSU Holiday Reception attended by more than 250 people in the Assembly Center.
Many donors have become annual, loyal contributors to Grambling State University, and President Judson wanted to ensure their names were engraved on the tree.
“We are proud and grateful to all our donors regardless of gift size, but because several have increased the size of their gift and give annually, we wanted to honor them in this way,” Judson said.
The reception honored donors at various levels of giving, from $250 and above, with plaques and certificates. For more information, go to http://www.gbgfoundation.org/
