Support GSU Marching Band for Inaugural Parade trip

GRAMBLING – A fundraising campaign is now underway to support the World Famed Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band as it prepares to participate in the historic 56th Presidential Inaugural Parade next month in Washington, D.C.

GSU has established an Internet link within the “Donate Online” donation box on the Grambling Black & Gold Foundation website https://ssb.gram.edu:9000/pls/gram/bzakngft.P_Make_A_Donation. The link allows contributors to designate “GSU Band Inaugural” as a giving option.

Checks or donations should be made payable to: Grambling Black & Gold Foundation, Inc., c/o Division of Institutional Advancement, P.O. Box 587, Grambling, La. 71245. Those donating by check should include “Tiger Marching Band Inaugural Parade Campaign” in the memo. By phone, contact Suzanne Douglas at (318) 274-2217 in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

The World Famed band is one of only 70 or so organizations selected to participate in the parade, which will be held on Jan. 20. According to the Presidential Inaugural Committee, more than 1,300 organizations sought coveted positions.
