GSU awards over 200 degrees at Fall 2007 commencement
GRAMBLING, La. — Grambling State University
awarded over 200 degrees during its annual Fall Commencement Exercises which
was held in the newly constructed assembly center Friday, December 14.
Dr. Leon Whittaker, dean emeritus of graduate studies at the university,
was the keynote speaker for the ceremony. Whittaker challenged the graduates
to always be accountable in life.
Two Army ROTC cadets were commissioned as second lieutenants in the United
States Army. Cadets Frederen Wimberely and Teisha Barnes received the honors
after they were awarded their undergraduate degrees by president Horace
A. Judson.
