Biological Sciences Department


Mission:

The mission of the Department of Biological Sciences is to provide an excellent educational preparation in the pre-professional areas of study for students interested in medicine, dentistry and other allied health professions, or graduate study in biomedical sciences. The Department also prepares students for careers as Environmental Scientists and secondary school biology teachers. By providing a nurturing environment, the Department of Biological Sciences strives to help students reach their full potential and academic goals.

Degree Program and Requirements:

The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology is awarded to students who complete the outlined program of study and meet the requirements of the Department of Biological Sciences and the College of Arts and Sciences.
