BPCC @ GSU REFERRAL PROGRAM

Grambling State University (GSU) and Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) entered into a partnership agreement during the Fall 2010 semester.  This partnership has a goal of making sure higher education is accessible to all.  The partnership targets students who do not meet Grambling State University’s admission criteria.

Students applying to Grambling State University who do not meet the core curriculum requirement and/or ACT math or English sub-score requirement are referred to the BPCC@GSU program.  The BPCC@GSU student attends classes taught by BPCC faculty on the campus of GSU.  The BPCC@GSU student may reside in Grambling State University student housing.  Upon completion of the developmental course requirements or completion of the courses required to transfer to GSU, students are eligible to enroll as Grambling State University students.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BPCC@GSU PROGAM

The BPCC@GSU Program is a referral program that requires students to first apply for admission to GSU.  The admissions staff at GSU will evaluate the student’s transcript and test scores to determine the student’s eligibility for the program.  Students meeting the criteria for participation in the program will be referred to the BPCC@GSU director.  Students cannot participate in the BPCC@GSU Program without first being referred by GSU.  (Note:  Transfer students who have not earned the required developmental and/or general education courses may also be referred to the BPCC@GSU Program on a case-by-case basis.)

Registration for the program will be conducted on the GSU campus by BPCC personnel.  Students will receive registration and other details during initial consultation with the BPCC@GSU director.  Students should add BPCC on their Free Application for Student Assistance (FAFSA) in order to be eligible for financial aid for BPCC.  The school code for BPCC is 012033.
