We at Grambling State University Alumni Relations Office are pleased
to introduce one of our newest benefits, the Alumni Loan Consolidation
Program (ALCP), a federally guaranteed student loan consolidation
program, by CFS Affinity Services. This program enables borrowers
with greater than $7500 in outstanding student loans to have only
one monthly payment, a variety of flexible repayment plans to choose
from, and a substantially lower monthly payment. Student loan interest
rates are the lowest that they have been in recent history so it
is the ideal time to consolidate and lock-in a fixed interest rate
for the life of the loan. As a reward for consecutive on time payments,
Grambling State University graduates are eligible to receive an
additional 1.0% reduction on their interest rate after just 3 years
(36 payments). Within the first six months after graduation, you
are also eligible to lock-in an interest rate 0.60% lower than it
would be after you start repayment. This program could not be easier
– everything can be done online including chatting with your loan
counselor and signing your application with eSignature. Payments
can be automatically deducted from your bank account, which results
in an even greater interest rate reduction. There are no credit
checks, origination fees, or penalties for early pre-payment, so
you can theoretically pay off your loan as quickly as you can afford.
