Professional Excellence
We value professional excellence in teaching, research, and service. We are devoted to the perpetuation of serious inquiry, creativity, critique, accountability, and the notion of giving our best efforts to our candidates, the university, and the marketplace.

Diversity
We value, appreciate, and embrace difference as it relates to culture, age, gender, race, ethnicity, language, religion, national origin, philosophical, educational and sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and family configuration. We are committed to perpetual reflection on all the issues related to diversity.

Collegiality
We value, encourage, and promote the idea of faculty and candidates (inside and outside of the college and the institution) working synergistically together to construct, deconstruct, and re-construct knowledge, practices, and policy.

Ethics
We value equity, fairness, honesty, respect, and compassion among the staff, faculty, and candidates in the pursuit of teaching, service, and research endeavors. We commit to increasing access to equal opportunity in all College of Education initiatives.

The Conceptual Framework (CF), which is under-girded by the mission and vision of Grambling State University, is periodically and systematically reviewed and assessed to accurately reflect the shared vision of the College of Education and its stakeholders. It, essentially, espouses that we are committed to creating educators and community leaders who are: masters of subject matter (knowledge); facilitators of learning (skills); and enhancers and nurturers of affective behaviors (dispositions).
