Many students have attended professional association meetings as presenters and participants. Some have published in journals in developmental education and related disciplines. During 1995, one doctoral student (Dr. Simon Whittaker) received a Fulbright summer scholarship for travel and study abroad. Students are also active members of the Doctoral Students Association (DSA) at Grambling and the Association of Doctoral Students (ADS) for LEC participants.
