The Primary Mission of the Equal Employment Opportunity/Wage and Salary Office is to ensure that all decisions regarding recruitment, hiring, promotion, transfer, suspension, termination, layoff, and all other terms and conditions of employment are without discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, age, national origin, veteran status, disability, or any other non-merit factors.
The Equal Employment Opportunity/Wage & Salary Office also investigates and responds to employee and student grievances, sexual harassment allegations and alleged violations of Title VII Laws.
The Secondary Mission of the Equal Employment Opportunity/Wage & Salary Office is to implement a Wage & Salary Plan for Unclassified non-faculty personnel that ensures internal equity, external competitiveness and is in keeping with workforce needs, financial limitations and University expectations.
