DEPARTMENT: Department of Kinesiology, Sports and Leisure Studies  

QUALIFICATIONS: The desired candidate must possess a Ed.D./Ph.D. in health, physical education, kinesiology or related discipline, with coursework in health education, research methods, curriculum development, leisure studies or sport administration. ABD candidates will be considered. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at K-12 and/or university levels; must demonstrate skills in research, publishing, grant writing and other scholarly endeavors; must be actively involved with subject-field professional organizations.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide leadership in and support of department programs and activities
  • Assist with recruitment and advisement;
  • Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Serve on committees
  • Co-sponsor the KSLS Majors’ Club.
SALARY: Salary is competitive with excellent benefits package.
