DEPARTMENT: College of Education  

QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters degree is required and a Doctorate preferred in Education or a related area. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in the field of Education. The desired candidate should possess advanced computer skills including Excel and SPSS. Must be able to generate data analyses reports. The selected candidate must have the ability to maximize time on task, follow tasks to completion, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to focus on details, thoroughness, and accuracy. The desired candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and work productively will internal and external constituents of the department.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Be proficient with relational data base query tools and content management software
  • Provide database development and maintenance
  • Generate data analyses reports using SPSS
  • Generate written narratives from data analyses reports
  • Implement and manage assessment system that includes collecting and analyzing data on teacher candidates and graduate performance, degree program effectiveness, and unit operations
  • Set up Task Stream assessment system each semester
  • Possess a working knowledge of professional educational licensing and certification requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Provide professional development for faculty and staff on planning and refining assessment system
  • Coordinate a curriculum alignment audit for every two years
  • Coordinate the external review of the unit assessment system by NCATE every five to seven years
  • Work with Assessment Committee Members, faculty, staff, PK-16+ Council, Department Heads, Deans, and College of Education Council.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to aggregate data on candidate's performance on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Train candidates and faculty on Task Stream use
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean, College of Education
