DEPARTMENT: Department of Kinesiology, Sport and Leisure Studies  

QUALIFICATIONS: M.S. degree, Ph.D./Ed.D. preferred, in therapeutic recreation, recreation, leisure studies or related field. Must have work experience in subject field; must have teaching experience at the university level; must be able to coordinate internship program; must demonstrate interest in the areas of grant writing, community service, research, publishing and other scholarly endeavors; must be CTRS/CLP at time of employment or no later than six months after employment; must have computer literacy; and must be committed to excellence in education.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide leadership in and support of department programs and activities
  • Assist with student advisement and recruitment
  • Teach courses at the undergraduate level
  • Work with the Level Test Project
  • Serve on committees
  • Perform other academic duties as needed
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 month non-tenure track

SALARY: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
