DEPARTMENT: Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships  

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree is required. The ability to provide counseling concerning federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. Prior knowledge of student financial aid programs preferred. The desired candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain accurate and organized records; use independent judgement and initiative. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends. The desired candidate must be knowledgeable of computer bases programs to analyze and evaluate information.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide primary counseling to parents and students and award financial aid packages to eligible students based on federal and state regulations
  • Respond to financial aid inquiries from students and parents
  • Review various financial aid reports to make necessary award adjustments
  • Assist with the self-audit of students' files to identify and correct any errors
  • Stay abreast of federal and state regulations, Banner upgrades, and office procedures
  • Other duties assigned by the Director or the Executive Director of Enrollment Management
