DEPARTMENT: Department of Foreign Languages  

QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in French with a specialization in French literature and culture. The successful candidate must have university level teaching experience, native or near-native fluency in French, good command English, and evidence of scholarship.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teach all levels of French language, literature and culture
  • Participate in curriculum development
  • Aid in recruiting French majors and minors
  • Participate in student advisement
  • Develop and participate in French study abroad program
  • Engage in scholarly research, publication, and other professional activities
  • Serve on university committees
  • Perform departmental duties as assigned by the Department Head
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 month-tenure track

SALARY: Salary is competitive with excellent benefits package.
