DEPARTMENT:	Department of Speech and Theatre
QUALIFICATIONS:	M.F.A. or Ph.D., in theatre or related field and at least five (5) years of teaching experience at the university level, as well as: a record of scholarly contributions and effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral. Applicant must be knowledgeable of Acting and Directing techniques, rehearsal procedures technical theatre/design and the ability to teach voice and diction techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:	The successful candidate will be expected to: Teach courses in speech and/or Professional Communication Teach courses in Modern Drama, Directing, Period Acting Interpret plays and scripts for production Audition and identify performers for roles in specific productions Conduct rehearsals, assist in technical design and construction as needed Maintain a familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in acting and directing Posses a wide degree of creativity and latitude
