DEPARTMENT: Office Of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships  

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree required. Ability to provide counseling concerning federal, state and institutional financial aid programs. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends. The desired candidate must have a minimum of three years financial aid experience or related area. Must possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain accurate and organized records; use independent judgement and initiative. Must be dedicated, outgoing and able to handle several tasks at the same time.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Organize and supervise the Service Desk area
  • Greet parents, students, and other visitors while giving general information concerning federal, state and institutional financial aid programs
  • Receive, stamp and post documents submitted at the Service Desk and forward them to appropriate staff members
  • Maintain an organized appointment system for the counseling staff
  • Send financial aid packets to students and parents
  • Assist with parents/students financial aid workshops
  • Other duties assigned by the Assistant Director, Fiscal Operations & Student Employment or the Director
