Academic Scholarship Appeals Policy and Procedures
PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Students whose grade point average (GPA) falls below the required 3.5 semester GPA may retain the award for the immediate succeeding fall or spring semester if their cumulative GPA is 3.50 or above. Students who fail to make the required GPA that semester will forfeit the award forever.

Students whose semester GPA falls below the
required 3.0 GPA forfeit the award forever.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Students whose semester GPA falls below the required 3.0 semester GPA may retain the award for the immediate succeeding fall or spring semester if their cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above. Students who fail to make the required GPA that semester will forfeit the award forever.

EXECUTIVE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

Students failing to earn a 3.5 semester GPA may apply for a lesser academic scholarship depending on the availability of funds.

*NOTE: The opportunity to appeal is granted once during the student's scholarship period. The Scholarship Committee reviews scholarship appeals.

CANCELLATION/REDUCTION OF SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

The granting department will determine scholarship cancellations. The student will be notified by mail of the cancellation and the Assistant Director for Scholarships will reduce the award.

Scholarship recipients are not allowed to exceed their financial aid. Awards will be reduced or cancelled to avoid over-award.
