The library offers interlibrary loan services to GSU faculty, staff and graduate students, who may submit their requests via the Internet and the online ILLiad program in which the library participates. Patrons must create an ILLiad username and password when going to the ILLiad website for the first time. Afterwards, all they have to do is logon to ILLiad in order to submit their request from any Internet PC. There is no fee for Interlibrary Loan, and the borrowing cost, where applicable, is determined by the lending institution.
There are restrictions to the service. The library does not borrow resources it owns, and it does not lend rare books, reference materials, microforms, videotapes, theses, nor doctoral dissertations to other institutions.
Interlibrary Loan services are offered on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The Interlibrary Loan office is located in room 111 on the first floor. Telephone numbers are: 318-274-7732 or 318-274-2227, or Fax: 318-274-4085, or e-mail sumithra@gram.edu.
Ingenta Document Delivery ServiceThe Document Delivery Service is a subsidized service provided by A.C. Lewis Memorial Library. It is intended to enhance research by providing access to journals to which the Library does not subscribe. Document Delivery Service is more cost effective for the Library than subscriptions to infrequently used journals. Articles may be requested by GSU faculty and graduate students at no cost to the patron via Ingenta.
