Grambling University National Alumni Association (GUNAA)
Makes Financial Contribution to Alma Mater
GRAMBLING, LA – GUNAA President Clifton Lemelle and other board members presented a $23,000 check to Grambling State University President Frank G. Pogue Friday morning at a private presentation on GSU campus. The national alumni association has made a total financial contribution of $49,300 this year to the university.
“This is a wonderful example of the love and commitment alumni have for the contributions Grambling State University has made to their personal professional accomplishments. This contribution will be used to support our students, who are increasingly in need of financial support. It is a very timely gift to the university as we celebrate our 110th birth-year celebration. The contribution will send the right message to supporters of Grambling State University as we prepare for a capital campaign,” comment Grambling’s President Frank G. Pogue.
Grambling State University and the alumni association are working together to bring alumni from all around the world to build a financially sound university.
“Just as God took nothing and created this wonderful universe, he also endowed spiritual and visionary leaders to establish Grambling State University from a NLCARA to a renowned university. As our alma mater says, “long may thee stand ’til all the land has felt the worth of thy great hand.” Grambling yesterday, Grambling today, Grambling State University forever,” states Lemelle.
