MEDIA ADVISORY
Grambling State University Receives Notification
Date: June 27, 2012
To: Media Outlets
From: Grambling State University Public Affairs Office
Topic: The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS) continued the accreditation of Grambling State University during its June 2, 2012 meeting. The university has, however, been placed on warning for six months as a result of the following administrative concerns: Comprehensive Standard 3.10.3 (Control of Finances) and Comprehensive Standard 3.11.1 (Control of Physical Resources) of the Principles of Accreditation. The concerns are being clarified and we look forward to a quick and positive resolution.
Although we are concerned when any questions are raised about administrative procedures at Grambling State University, we are already well on the way with steps to correct these administrative concerns.
NOTE: Grambling State University is fully accredited by SACS and 100% of our fifty academic programs that are eligible for accreditation by accrediting bodies are accredited.
