Operation JumpStart: First Step helps with practical, hands-on training
GRAMBLING, LA. - A special group of entrepreneurs pursuing dreams for small business ownership will study business fundamentals and gain practical, hands-on experience in a free program offered by Grambling State University.
The College of Business and the Office of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning have teamed up to provide a six-week course, Operation JumpStart: First Step, a nationally-recognized, successful training model for people considering starting or expanding a small business. The curriculum teaches participants essential small business planning and preparation skills.
The class will begin on August 21 at the H. Simmons, Sr. Small Business Learning Center (SBLC) in Jonesboro and continue through September 27. The course meets for six consecutive weeks every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A $10.00 registration fee will be assessed for the course, including course materials. Due to space constraints, the course will be limited to the first 20 applicants.
