Favrot Student Union Board

The Favrot Student Union Board is a student- based organization through which five committees organize a variety of student activities. Each committee has a chairperson that organizes events and reports to the board. The Advisory board consists of 21 students: president, vice-president, secretary, chaplain, 5 chairpersons, and 12 advisory board representatives. The professional staff offers support and guidance to ensure compliance with University regulations. The organization holds membership in several Professional organizations including: National Association for Campus Activities, and Association of College Unions-International. Every student can become a member of the Favrot Student Union Board.

The Committees:

Help keep GSU Tiger traditions alive by participating in this committee. The Activities Committee keeps busy planning activities that interest our students through entertainment and education. Join in on the fun and let you true Tiger Spirit Show.


Calling all students interested in promoting, advertising, and public relations! This is the committee for you. The Publicity Committee is responsible for all marketing and promotions of every Favrot Student Union Board event. If you like to get the word out, get with the Publicity Committee.


Hosting is this committee's specialty. The Hospitality Committee offers you the chance to have a good time with events that incorporate physical fitness, hosting entertainers, jazz and poetry, and other Grambling favorites. Experience it all with the Hospitality Committee.

Artistic and Cultural

Probably the most diverse of all committees in planning, the Artistic and Cultural Committee invites its members to share their ideas and customs. This committee helps unite students of all cultures with events such as: Gospel Explosion, International Student Awareness, & Pre-Kwanzaa, just to name a few. The fun never stops with the Artistic and Cultural Committee.

Research and Evaluation

Known as the investigators of the Union Board, this committee offers practical experience in research and evaluation of previous as well as upcoming events. Your only limits are your imagination and your ability to have fun with Research and Evaluation.
