UNIVERSITY NOTIFICATION (06/05/2010)

Faculty, Staff and Students:

On Wednesday, June 5, 2013, Grambling State University received notification that a member of the campus was diagnosed with Tuberculosis (TB) and is receiving corrective medical care. 

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by germs that are spread from person to person through the air.

In consultation with the Louisiana Office of Public Health, and using their standard protocol, it is believed there was minimal exposure to the Grambling campus.  As a precautionary measure, about 70 individuals have been identified for testing.  These individuals will be contacted by the university and the Louisiana Office of Public Health and provided with a time and location for testing.
