Ann Petry Symposium scheduled today
GRAMBLING – A symposium on the life and work of nationally acclaimed author Ann Petry will be held at 2 p.m. today in Woodson Hall, Room 10.
The symposium “Bright Days, Foggy Nights: The Passion, Humor, and Pathos of Ann Petry’s Fiction,” sponsored by the English Department and Academic Affairs, will feature a keynote address by Liz Petry, daughter of Ann Petry. Liz is the author of two books — Can Anything Beat White? and At Home Inside.
She lives in Middletown, Conn.
The university is pleased to celebrate Liz Petry’s voice and the legacy of Ann Petry.
