Grambling State University
Professor Exhibits Works Entitled
“And A Few Words”

Grambling, La - Grambling State University will host an exhibition by artist Rodrecas “Drék” (pronounced Dreek) Davis entitled …and a few words. Mr. Davis, a new faculty member in the Art Department, will be presenting an exhibition of mixed media and assemblage works that address the intersection of pop culture, history, politics, and religion. A native of Monroe, Georgia, Mr. Davis is a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia Fine Arts program - with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Mr. Davis sometimes pulls from his journalism and musical experience as a compliment to his visual artwork.
The exhibition will be on display from September 17 thru October 4, 2007 in the Dunbar Hall Art Gallery located on Hutchinson Street (on the campus of GSU). Gallery hours are from 8-4:30 M-F.
