LA - Grambling State University’s Art Department is hosting “Africana,”
an exhibition of African art and artifacts through November 1, 2007. The
exhibition includes sculpture, masks, musical instruments, religious and
ceremonial items, textiles, baskets, bowls, and paintings collected by faculty
and retired faculty.
The public
is invited to attend a reception honoring contributors to the show and “Friends
of the Arts” on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 4:30 – 6:00 PM.
Gallery hours are from 8-4:30 M-F. Accommodations are available for large
