Grambling State University Unveils New Digital Library Design

New Facility to Deliver 50,000 Square Feet of Student and Community Information Space

GRAMBLING, LA – January 31, 2019 – Today, Grambling State University revealed designs for a new digital library that will add more than 50,000 square feet of learning space to the University, City of Grambling, and North Louisiana community.

“We see this new facility as an information beacon on a hill,” said President Rick Gallot of Grambling State. “We are grateful to the students, University of Louisiana System, the Board of Regents, our Governor and the legislators who are collaborating to make this vision a reality for our campus.”

GSU Alumna Dana Williams, Ph.D. Appointed As Interim Dean Of Howard’s Graduate School

Dana Williams Ph.DWASHINGTON – January 30, 2019 – Howard University has appointed Dana Williams, Ph.D., as the Interim Dean of the Howard University Graduate School. Williams serves as the chair of the Department of English and a professor of African American literature. She received her bachelor of arts degree in English from Grambling State University and her master of arts and doctoral degrees in English from Howard University.

Basketball Update: Season Tickets Are Still Available

GRAMBLING, La. – Season tickets are still available for the Grambling State University men’s and women’s home basketball seasons. The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) ticket packet costs just $60 and features 14 home games, including High School Day on Saturday, Feb. 16 against Texas Southern University. CAMPUS ADVISORY: PARKING – Student &Faculty/Staff Decal Enforcement – Starting Monday, Jan. 28

All students, faculty, and staff must obtain parking decals from the traffic office, Long-Jones Hall room 171. The cost is $11.00 (students) and $22.00 (faculty/staff).  Starting Monday January 28, 2019 tickets will be issued for vehicles without university parking permits.

A Leg Up for Law School: Grambling State Partners with University of Iowa College of Law

Now, Grambling State University is partnering with the University of Iowa College of Law to prepare and grow the next generation of black lawyers.
