Grambling State University’s Lady Tiger Shakyla Hill Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Year & All-State Honors

 
Grambling, LA – Grambling State University point guard Shakyla Hill was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Year and third team all-state by vote of the state’s media representatives and university media relations directors.

Hill secured the freshman of the year honors receiving 20 of the 27 votes. The Little Rock, Arkansas native earned second team all-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors after averaging 12.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.8 steals. She led Grambling State in total scoring (401), total rebounding (179), total assists(93) and total steals(86).
