GRAMBLING, LA – Oct. 7, 2018 – This evening the Grambling State University Police Department was notified of a possible shooting at the campus’ outdoor basketball facility.

At this time, University officials can confirm the following:

• Officers have investigated and confirmed that there is no active threat to campus.
• One suspect is currently in custody for the alleged shooting incident.
• One victim is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
• Neither individual is a student at Grambling State University.
• The University will operate on its normal business schedule on Monday, October 8, 2018, with increased police patrols of campus and surrounding areas.
