Grambling, LA – The annual Grambling State University Student Exhibition will come to a close with a public Awards Reception from 4:30-6 p.m. on Sept. 24 in Dunbar Gallery. The exhibition, sponsored by the Department of Visual and Performing Arts, is comprised of works by Grambling State University students from freshmen through senior level.

Students submit works to be juried by the faculty each spring, and the exhibition hangs through the summer months. “This show gives students an introduction to the jury process that is common procedure for many group exhibitions and helps prepare them for the experience of exhibiting in off-campus venues,” says Donna McGee, director of Dunbar Gallery.

The exhibition will remain on display through Sept. 24 in Dunbar Gallery. The gallery, which is located on Hutchinson Street on the Grambling State University campus, is open from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.–noon on Friday.
