Pre-Nursing Component: Applicants must meet the general admissions requirements of the University through the University Admissions Office.
Professional Component: The number of admissions is determined by the availability of faculty and clinical sites. Application forms for admission to the professional program of the School of Nursing may be obtained from the Office of the Dean, School of Nursing. The Admissions and Academic Standards Committee will review applications. The Dean will take final action on the committee’s recommendations and will notify the students. If, for some reason, a student is not admitted to the professional program, re-application must be made following the regular procedure. Applications to the professional program must be postmarked no later than April 1 for Fall semester and October 1 for Spring semester.
Admission Criteria Are:
- Submission of completed application by deadline dates
- Official academic transcripts from all colleges and universities attended (presently enrolled included) must be received by the School of Nursing within 30 days after the application deadline - Complete all pre-nursing courses with a "C" or higher 2.75 Cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in all pre-nursing courses and math/science courses
- Two failures (WD, WF, D, or F) in any required science course will disqualify a student from admission.
