Requirements:
- Regular admission to the School of Graduate Studies at Grambling State University
- Application for admission to the graduate program in nursing
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing for a nationally accredited School of Nursing
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Official transcripts of all colleges and universities attended received by School of graduate Studies and School of Nursing
- Official record of GRE scores; minimum score of 1,000 combined on Verbal and Quantitative sections with a minimum of 450 on individual sections: must have been taken within five (5) years of admission date to graduate program
- Completion of health assessment course taught in an accredited nursing program with a grade of “C”; or higher
- Completion of statistics course with a grade of “C” or higher
- Minimum work experience as an RN of two (2) years
- Letters of recommendation from three professional/academic references received by School of Nursing
- Graduate level writing course, i.e., HUM 507, NUR500, or ENG505, or acceptable substitute approved by School of Graduate Studies
- Interview with MSN faculty
