Assistant/Associate Professor of Educational Leadership  

 

DEPARTMENT: Department of Educational Leadership  

QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate in Developmental Education or Student Development or Counseling with successful university graduate teaching, advising, and research experience. The desired candidate must have experience in teaching distance learning courses through Moodle or other web-based products. A willingness to teach cohort groups, and evening courses. The ability and the commitment to assist students in the successful completion of their studies. Success in grant acquisition is desirable.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teaching courses in the master's and doctoral programs in Development Education
  • Work with other department members to improve program offerings to students
  • Assist with student retention and recruitment efforts
  • Establish partnerships with schools, school districts, and other organizations in the GSU service area
  • Participate in the selection processes for admitting students into departmental programs
  • Sit on and chair master's non-thesis and doctoral dissertation committees
SALARY: Salary is competitive with excellent benefits package.
