Assistant Professor of Forensic/Analytical Chemistry

DEPARTMENT:	Department of Chemistry
QUALIFICATIONS:	Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with specialization in forensic chemistry. Knowledge in the use of Spectroscope Techniques (IR, UV-Vis and Fluorescence). Separation Techniques (GC, GC-MS, HPLC, and Capillary electrophoresis) Experience in optical and electron microscopy, analysis of illicit drugs, explosives, latent fingerprint development, paint and fibers, and experience working in a Forensic Laboratory or a Postdoctoral experience is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:	The successful candidate will be expected to: Teach selected courses in Chemistry and Forensic chemistry and develop improvement in the curriculum Provide academic advising of students and recruit students for the department Develop research projects and obtain extramural funding Provide research training for undergraduate students Serve on departmental and university-wide committees Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Head
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:	9 month-tenure track
SALARY:	Salary is competitive with excellent benefits package.
