When a student repeats a course, the transcript will show all grades; however, an adjusted GPA will reflect only the last grade earned as the official grade. The adjusted GPA will be used for graduation purposes only. All course grades, all hours attempted, and total quality points earned are used in calculating the cumulative GPA Beginning the 1999 Spring Semester, the cumulative GPA will be used to determine academic status (probation/suspension). The cumulative GPA will be used for the purpose of awarding honors and campus awards effective the 2000 Fall Semester.
Students should be aware that other four-year colleges and universities may not honor Grambling State University's Repeat Policy. Such institutions would probably compute all grades in the cumulative grade-point average.
