A student's academic status is a general indication of the student's eligibility to remain in school. It may affect a student's eligibility for scholarships, financial aid, participation in intercollegiate athletics and other student activities. A student's academic status is determined at the end of each semester and summer session. Although students will usually receive official notification of academic status, such notice is not a prerequisite to students being placed on probation or suspension.
