As a Systems Librarian/Administrator, Ms. Iwala is responsible for providing technology support, and system security management needed by library patrons. She administers all the SirsiDynix Symphony modules and other external interface applications including monitoring the functionality of the Library Integrated Technology Systems, application installation and configuration. She also serves as the library's liaison with the LOUIS Consortium, GSU department of Criminal Justice and Mass Communication Department.
Before coming to Grambling State University, she worked at North Carolina Central University as a Reference & Reserve Librarian Assistant during her graduate study in Durham, North Carolina. In addition to her library duties, she also coordinates the HBCU Digital Project for the library including training, management, and online digital publication of the collection using CONTENTdm systems.
She worked at Bank of America as a Systems Conversion Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia from 1996 to 1998. She worked for IBM as IT Specialist and Business Systems Analyst in Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1998 to 2000. She worked for CDI as a Business Systems Analyst and Project Manager Consultant to support and manage the online application systems for the United States Postal Service in Raleigh, North Carolina from 2000 to 2001. While in college, she worked at Clark Atlanta University at the CIS and NASA Lab as a Research Assistant in Atlanta, Georgia.
