Rhonda Rolen has a background in both school and academic libraries. Additionally, while in Baton Rouge she worked for the House of Representatives in the Legislative Research Library. She also has a lifetime teaching certificate for the state of Louisiana and has worked as an adjunct professor teaching online foreign language courses for the Louisiana Virtual School.
A native of Springhill, LA, she was an elementary and high school foreign language teacher in Louisiana and later a high school librarian in Arkansas, where she was selected as Library Media Specialist of the Year in 1996.
She enjoys digital scrapbooking and researching her ancestry in her spare time. She is a member of the library staff at First Baptist Church in Ruston. She has one son who loves to attend LSU football games with her. She is the caretaker of two cats that she adopted after they were found under her car in front of A.C. Lewis Memorial Library.
