Campaign Priorities

80% of funds raised from the Divine Nine Greek Challenge will support the Student “GAP” Fund. The Student GAP Fund provides scholarships to students needing financial assistance to complete registration. Each semester over 100 students receive the GAP scholarship. These scholarships range from $200- $1000 and helps keep students who would normally sit out a semester continue the education without a break.

20% of funds raised from the Greek Challenge will also start the process of ensuring that each organization establishes an endowment with Grambling State University. Endowments are vital to the sustainability and future of our beloved institution of higher education. Each Greek organization will have five (5) years to complete the funding of an endowment.

Another priority of the Divine Nine Greek Challenge is to increase alumni participation. Encouraging each other to participate and support the university increases the number of alumni “giving back” to a special place that means so much to us. The Greek Challenge is more than just being the Fraternity or Sorority that raised the most money, ultimately winning, but it is encouraging each other to give and invest in Grambling.
