Cares Act Student Aid Reporting Updates

Reporting Update (09/29/20) - Updated Quarterly Reports below Grambling State University (GSU) provides Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund - CARES Act Aid to students.

On April 10, 2020, GSU signed and returned the Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education. The University pledged to award at least 50 percent of the CARES Act funds received under Section 18004(a) (1) for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

As of May 4, 2020, GSU received $3,505,194 in CARES Act funds designated for distribution to students in the form of Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a) (1) of the CARES Act.

As of July 20 2020, GSU has distributed a total of $3,128,200 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students. Distribution dates and amounts are as follow:

Method(s) used to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they would receive under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act are outlined below.

GSU will continue to distribute the remaining Emergency Financial Aid Grant funds to eligible students who had COVID-19 related expenses, until all funds depleted.
