Campus Advisory: Parking & Traffic Updates for September 5 – 10, 2019

Students, faculty, and staff are advised to be mindful of the following updates and changes to parking and traffic flow for the Fall 2019 semester and September 5 – 10, 2019 throughout campus. 
 

LOT CLOSURE: RWE Jones Drive & Central Avenue – Closed from September 5 at 6pm to Sept 9 at 8 a.m. 

The parking lot located at the corner of RWE Jones Drive & Central Avenue will be closed to students beginning today, September 5 at 6:00 p.m. until September 9 at 8:00 a.m. 

During this time, commuters are advised to find alternate parking at Jacob T. Stewart Hall, Jeanes Hall, and Adams Hall. 

EVENT PARKING & STREET CLOSURE: Library Groundbreaking – September 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.  

STREET CLOSURES – September 7, 2019 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  

Beginning Saturday, September 7 at 7:00 a.m., the following streets will close to all vehicle traffic to accommodate setup for the University Digital Library and Learning Commons Groundbreaking Ceremony: 

  • Central Avenue between RWE Jones Drive and Main Street 
  • Fidelia Street between Robinson Street and Central Avenue 
  • Stewart Street between Robinson Street and Fidelia Street 

Drivers are encouraged to use College Avenue and Adams Avenue for access to RWE Jones Drive on Saturday, September 7, 2019 until roads are reopened to through traffic.  

EVENT PARKING – Groundbreaking Ceremony, Digital Library and Learning Commons 

Campus visitors, students and staff are advised to find parking in lots at Jacob T. Stewart Hall, Jeanes Hall, and Adams Hall, as the lot at the corner of RWE Jones Drive and Central Avenue will be closed to unassigned vehicles.  

REMINDER: Ticketing Begins for On-Campus Vehicles Without Decals September 5, 2019 

Beginning Thursday, September 5, 2019, parking tickets will be issued to all students, faculty and staff vehicles which do not display a valid university-issued parking decal. 

Follow these steps to register your vehicle and receive your parking decal to avoid ticketing.
