Annual Faculty Art Show Open Now through February 27

From January 14 – February 27, 2020 Grambling State University’s, Dunbar Gallery is hosting an exhibition of works entitled 20/20.  The exhibition is a presentation of works by members of the Visual Arts faculty and staff: Rachel Chanin, Rodrecas Davis, Larry D. Holston, Donna F. McGee, and Terence C. Williams, II. Created by five artists, the works offer a survey not only of the artists work but also the ways in which they see the world. In short, the works presented underscore the vision that each artist holds for the future.

Rachel Chanin, a native of West Monroe, Louisiana, holds a Master of Education from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Art from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Donna McGee, Professor of Art (emerita), holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Mississippi State University, a Masters in Counseling from Mississippi State University and Master of Fine Arts in Studio, Painting and Drawing from Louisiana Tech University. Rodrecas Davis, Professor of Art, is a native of Monroe, Georgia, and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Georgia.  Larry Holston, Assistant Professor of Art, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Grambling State University and a Master of Arts in Art from Northwestern Louisiana University. Terence C. Williams, II holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design.

The public is invited to meet the artists at a closing reception to be held in the gallery on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 4:30 – 6:00 PM.  Gallery hours are from 8 – 4:30 M-TH and 8:30 – 12:00 N on Friday (Closed for university holidays).  Dunbar Gallery is located in Dunbar Fine Arts Annex on Hutchinson Street in Grambling.  Accommodations are available for large groups and special needs persons.  For more information please call or 318 274-2201 or davisro@gram.edu.
