Grambling State University Appoints Tisha D. Arnold Director of Communications

GRAMBLING, La. – August 18, 2020 – Grambling State announced that Tisha D. Arnold has assumed the role of University Director of Communications.

“Communications leadership is one of the essential charges that tracks our University’s steady growth,” said Martin Lemelle, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are enthusiastic about welcoming such an experienced leader to our team.”

Arnold has worked in the communications industry for more than 17 years. She comes to Grambling State from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where served as Public Information Officer, establishing the social media presence for the institution and slogan, “Become a Part of the Pride.”

Arnold also founded PRIDE Magazine to foster a deeper connection between the brand and its constituents. Now known as UAPB Magazine, the award-winning publication has a readership of more than 10,000. Apart from founding the magazine and establishing the social media presence, Arnold redesigned the website, was integral in the re-imaging of the institution, and led the direction of graphics for annual events.

About Tisha D. Arnold
Arnold is a 2003 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and has also studied Integrated Marketing Communications at West Virginia University.
In addition to her professional role with UAPB, she served in community leadership positions, including Business Division Chair of the Board of Directors of the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Regional Chamber of Commerce, member of the Advertising and Promotion Commission, and member of the Chamber Red Coats. She currently serves as Director for District Communications for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), District IV.
