Grambling State University Appoints Kellye Blackburn Director of Career Services

New Hire Brings International Experience to the Position

Kellye Blackburn, Director of Career ServicesGRAMBLING, La. – August 19, 2020 – Today, Grambling State University announced the appointment of Kellye Blackburn as Director of Career Services.

About Kellye Blackburn
Blackburn spent the past nine years in Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the Senior Manager of Employability and Alumni Relations at Abu Dhabi University and as a Senior Specialist Career Services for the Higher Colleges of Technology.

The Atlanta, Georgia, native holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spelman College, a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Clark Atlanta University, and a Professional Diploma in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University. In 2019, she was selected to participate in a summer leadership program at the Al Maktoum College in Dundee, Scotland.

Prior to living in the UAE, Blackburn served as the Director of Career Planning and Placement for Non- Business Majors and also as the Assistant Dean of Campus Life at Morehouse College.
