Undergraduate and Graduate

This Grambling State University General Catalog describes both undergraduate and graduate academic programs. This catalog contains the current curricula, educational plans, offerings, and requirements that may be altered from time to time to carry out the purposes and objectives of the University. The provisions of this catalog do not constitute an offer for a contract that may be accepted by students through registration and enrollment in the University. The University reserves the right to change any provision, offering, or requirement at any time within the student’s period of study at the University. The University further reserves the right to (1) involve the student in assessment designed to improve the curriculum, and (2) require a student to withdraw from the University for cause at any time. The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System assures equal opportunity for all qualified persons without regard to race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, citizenship, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, retirement or veteran status in admission to, participation in, or employment in its program and activities (ULS Policy M-11a, 2003).

Contents/Browsing - To make this easier, the catalog contains the following features:

  • Contents Sidebar - The left-hand side of every page contains a Table of Contents that shows the high-level sections of the catalog.
  • "Other Pages in this Section" - As you drill deeper down into the catalog content, you will see that many pages contain a hyperlink to referential pages on the Grambling State University website.  For instance, users looking at the "Registration Fee" page will see a hyperlink connecting the user to the Financial Aid webpage that discusses university fees and the cost of college.  This way users can quickly and easily find related content.
  • Navigation Path - Above the header for each page, the navigation path is displayed in the following format: Home / Academics / Catalog / Student Life.  This allows users to easily see what section of the catalog they are in, and move up to a higher level within the hierarchy if desired.
